One Farm at a Time: The Last Crop film screenings and discussion
Supporting the One Farm at a Time project

The Last Crop is a documentary film that tells the story of Jeff and Annie Main, who like many farming families, confront an uncertain future as development impinges on their rural community and their children choose careers off the farm. What sets the Mains apart is their resolve to ensure their land will be affordable
and productive for future farmers.

One Farm at a Time is a collaborative project that is raising funds and awareness to protect Good Humus, and eventually other local farms to ensure opportunities for young farmers and sustainable sources of local food
for generations to come.

Vonita Murray and daughter

Meet Vonita Murray: young farmer, veteran, mom.

Vonita came to us for help in starting her farm business. FarmLink helped her secure a lease that was advantageous and inclusive for both her and the landowner. Envisioning expansion, she said, "Given my limited experience and income, without FarmLink's help, it will be close to impossible for me to purchase the equipment I need for my operation." Connecting Vonita with an experienced farmer to mentor her has boosted her confidence, and her business.
