How are you doing in managing your farm (or ranch) finances? The question goes to the core of your business success. Resilient farms and ranches have often set and achieved goals: sustaining adequate year-round cash flow, and investing enough resources in strong crop yields, equipment, infrastructure, and soil quality. Or do you feel like your finances are managing you?
FarmLink has forged a unique event: the Farm Finance Expo. This year it takes place in Clovis on Thursday, February 28th from 11am to 6pm. It’s one-stop shopping for loans and other resources to help farmers and ranchers to establish and achieve business your goals. Language interpretation for Spanish and Hmong speakers will be available.
Farmers and ranchers will have an opportunity to compare and discuss financing options and receive one-on-one business technical assistance. Workshop topics will include business formation and record keeping, enterprise analysis to grow with confidence, and purchasing or selling land or an ag business.
Lenders available to talk one-on-one with farmers and ranchers include Farm Credit, AgriFinancial, Farmer Mac, Fresno First Bank, Valley Small Business Development Corporation, USDA Farm Service Agency and others. Workshops at the Expo will include growers and business advisers speaking from firsthand experience in managing farm finances.
Services available at the event will include a financial check-up to establish financial goals and action plans. Participants can schedule their meeting beforehand and are urged to bring three years of business tax records, current financial statements, and marketing plans. Lunch is included, and the registration cost is $20. Register here!
