Up to 20 acres available for lease in Fairfield for vegetable farming on an existing vineyard/winery property. The owners are currently in the process of building out a tasting room, restaurant, and venue space to be open late 2020.
Long term there are plans to establish new vines on the 20 available acres, but would like to find a farmer to grow vegetables on the property in the meantime, partially for use in the new restaurant. A 1-3 year lease on the full 20 acres or a longer lease on a smaller portion acreage could both work. Looking to partner with an experiences vegetable/market garden grower who can grow vegetables both for winery-restaurant and off-farm sales.
The vineyard is certified biodynamic, and while the vegetable farmer wouldn’t be required to farm biodynamically, a like minded individual would be ideal. No use of Round-up on the property due to existing certification. Open to discuss terms as needed by prospective tenants.
