This is a 36 Acre property easily accessible from Nevada City/Grass Valley or Marysville/Oroville. The farm is under development and will eventually be a regenerative agricultural project. Our acreage is part of a larger ranch that was divided several years ago. It was overgrazed in the past, but after one season of rotational grazing with sheep/goats by Legacy Ranching out of Nevada City in 2018, we have seen a few new types of grasses and are seeing less brome. This past year, we had 12 heads of cattle free-grazing for most of the year. The property has a 5 acre year-round pond and a creek, plus a 1/3 mile graveled driveway. We have BVID and a spring. The property has perimeter fencing. While there are plans to build a home on this property, we have no specific start date for the construction. Regardless, for the right landseeker, we would be willing to enter into a more long-term agreement and are open to discussion regarding business ideas the landseeker may have, as long as they are aligned with the values of regenerative farming and sustainable practices.
We currently live off-property, but are on the farm most weekends, working on our own projects during that time. While we are there, we camp in a 5th wheel with our 3 dogs.
